About me
Jean-Philippe Brochu is a Canadian documentary director and producer with over 20 years' experience in the field. Favoring small-team work, he frequently combines the roles of director, cinematographer and editor on his productions. Recent projects include Nunatta Ataani (2024), which explores the impact of the mining industry in Nunavik, co-direction of season 4 of Vite pas vite on Radio-Canada (2023), and Empire Félin (2020), a three-hour series distributed in many countries. He has also directed Derby de démolition : Une histoire de Famille (2017), Culture Cosplay (2017), and Gamers: Beyond the Game (2015), demonstrating his curiosity for little-known subjects and contemporary subcultures. He is currently working on a documentary project on hunting and fishing, in collaboration with the Inuit communities of Nunavik.
