About me
Elsa Cencig is an archaeologist specializing in the Arctic and Subarctic regions. Since 2008, she has been part of the Avataq Cultural Institute, a non-profit Inuit organization, where she manages the archaeology department and coordinates the Nunatop traditional place-names project. Her research often integrates archaeology with geography, land use, and traditional place-names, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to understanding Inuit archaeological heritage.
